Fixing the Old and Making It New
In this project, we were given an old photograph and told to "fix" it. The photograph was found shoved in a book, broken and torn. I took the photograph into photoshop and then remade the photo, creating a brand new, beautiful picture. The revised photo is not only reminiscent of days long gone, but is also finally complete after years of abandonment.
Natural Beauty?
The first photograph, divided down the middle, was given to us with the right side of the woman's face as beautiful and perfect as any magazine, and on the left side was how she looked unedited. We were then told to make her beautiful on the left side as well. This was an exercise to demonstrate how the images we see and envy, aren't always real.
The same was done with two other photographs. On the left is the photograph we were given, on the right is the finished beauty.
Mirror Street
This project was based on a picture done by Eric Johansson, in which I took an ordinary street and, using photoshop, made the pavement a mirror, creating a fascinating illusion.
Forgeries
In this project, I took the painting of a young woman and replaced her painting with every other painting in a museum in exhibit.
Couple and a Baby
I took the original photo of a touching moment. A baby being adoringly held by the one who loves her, however this was really hard to see in the original faded photo. So I took it into Photoshop, changed the levels and used the burn tool on the edges, and from there came the new photo.
